...what kind of gas in is his area? From all that I've read here the old style injectors were fine until ethanol blended gas was introduced. So considering that they have been in use for more than a decade and it's only recently become a major issue (not a bad idea to convert it to switched, because they don't need to have constant power) I really doubt the type of electrical source is the problem.
